Marsh appoints Simon Camaj to lead Mercer’s US Health Practice
United States, New York
Mercer, a Marsh business (NYSE: MRSH) and a global leader in helping clients realize their investment objectives, shape the future of work, and enhance health and retirement outcomes for their people, today announced that Simon Camaj will be promoted to US Health Leader, effective May 1, 2026. He will report to Susan Potter, Mercer’s US and Canada President, and will be based in Chicago.
Mercer's US Health Practice works with employers to deliver data‑driven, and AI‑enabled health and benefits solutions — from benefits strategy, analytics to fiduciary oversight, wellbeing programs, and global benefits administration — that help reduce costs, improve care quality, and simplify the employee experience.
Ms. Potter said, "Simon’s extensive experience, proven track record, and deep understanding of the industry, combined with his commitment to colleague development, uniquely positions him to build on the US Health Practice’s success. Through his leadership, we will continue to deliver exceptional client outcomes in a rapidly evolving landscape, while cultivating a culture where our colleagues can thrive and grow into future leaders."
"It is an honor to lead Mercer’s US Health practice. I look forward to working with our talented teams to deliver practical, innovative solutions that help employers manage rising costs and improve their employees’ health," said Mr. Camaj.
Mr. Camaj has more than 20 years of experience across the healthcare and employee benefits industries. He joined Mercer in 2017 from Aetna, where he held senior national roles in business development, client management, and consulting firm relations. Since joining Mercer, he has led the US West Zone for the Health Practice and the US Life, Absence & Disability and Voluntary Benefits team and fostered a client-focused culture of collaboration and innovation.
Mr. Camaj succeeds Ed Lehman, who is leaving Marsh for a new opportunity. Mr. Lehman will remain with the firm through the end of April to support a smooth transition.
