The number of metrics in LTI plans in US and Canada 

Mercer’s 2025/2026 Year End Executive Incentive & Benefits Survey asked publicly-traded organizations in United States and Canada how many standalone metrics they use in their performance-based LTI plans.

United States public companies are more likely to use multiple standalone metrics in their performance-LTI plans than their Canadian counterparts. About three-quarters of US companies use at least two metrics in their performance-based LTI plans.
