Board of Director compensation increases at US public companies 

Non-Employee Director compensation at US public companies continues to rise at a modest pace with most companies making increases every 2-3 years.

Over the last five years, between approximately one-third and one-half of US public companies have provided total compensation increases to their non-employee directors.

Of companies providing total compensation increases, S&P 100 and S&P 500 companies have commonly made 6% increases while non-S&P 500 company increases have been higher.
