Mercer Names Brett Gerard Virginia Office Leader
Richmond, February 13, 2024 — Mercer, a global leader in redefining the world of work, reshaping retirement and investment outcomes, and unlocking real health and well-being, and a business of Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC), has named Brett Gerard its Virginia Office Leader, in addition to his Carolinas Office Leader role. He is responsible for driving growth in Virginia and the Carolinas and supporting client and colleague success in these states.
A Virginia native, Mr. Gerard joined Mercer’s Houston office in 2013 as a Senior Client Manager, later moving to Washington, DC to oversee some of Mercer’s largest accounts in the Capital region. In 2021, he moved south to North Carolina to assume the role of Carolinas Office Leader and expand Mercer’s brand and local client relationships in the area.

Prior to joining Mercer, Mr. Gerard held senior positions at Hewitt Associates, Korn Ferry and ADP. He is a graduate of George Mason University in Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in government and politics. Brett is an advocate for community support having served as a Board member for the Down Syndrome Association and spending many years coaching both youth and high school wrestling.
