Blog Birthday: Mercer US Health News Blog is Three Years Old

Jun 09 2017

It’s hard to believe, but the Mercer US Health News blog is three years old today. Birthdays are a good time to reflect, and the past three years have given us much to reflect on! Within the first few weeks of launching, we wrote about the Supreme Court decision to uphold the ACA. These days, we’re writing about repeal and replace efforts. We have our Washington Resource Group to thank for providing weekly reports right from the belly of the beast.

Beyond breaking news on health policy, Mercer specialists have contributed insightful posts with best thinking from their areas of expertise, ranging from HSAs to behavioral health to compliance planning and on and on. We’ve featured reports from our innovation team, who scour the market for the next big thing in healthcare and consumer engagement. And, since employers love data, we regularly bring you findings from Mercer survey research in our “By The Numbers” feature.

We are grateful to our loyal subscribers, whose numbers are growing rapidly as the blog’s reputation spreads, thanks to our marketing team and traffic generated through Linked In and Twitter. Folks are also finding their way to the blog through Google. Guess what our most clicked-on article has been? This post on Reference Based Pricing. That makes it a “topic of interest,” so we’ll be writing more about it. Suffice to say, we continue to analyze and learn from your clicks.

We are excited to announce that our blog will have a brand-new look and structure that will make it easier to find the topics of greatest interest to you. Behind the scenes, our new platform will help us improve how we communicate with you and provide easier access to other Mercer content. We are always interested in your feedback. Click here to offer suggestions – or just send us a Happy Birthday!  And thank you for your time and attention – you know how three-year-olds love attention.
