Mason is a Partner and consulting actuary who works in Mercer's Richmond office. He works with the Health practice providing analysis and strategy around national healthcare plans for clients in the Richmond market as well as larger clients across the country. He is heavily involved in intellectual capital projects, being the technical architect of national tools that evaluate claims volatility, estimate provider quality, and manage disability valuations, among others.

Mason is a national resource for consultants and clients regarding healthcare reform analysis and strategy, as well as having experience with pricing, reserving, discount analysis, as well as Medicare Supplement. He sits on Mercer’s Health Innovation Council, the VA Chamber of Commerce Health Care Executive Committee, and is a member of Mercer’s Health Policy Team. He also sits on the Board of Virginia Health Information.

Mason has a BS in mathematics from Virginia Tech as well as a BA in music with a concentration in vocal performance. He is a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries (FSA), a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), and a Fellow in the Conference of Consulting Actuaries (FCA).
