SECURE 2.0
Helping more Americans save for retirement
US House of Representatives passes "Secure 2.0" bill
On March 29, 2022, the US House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed major bipartisan retirement legislation - the Securing a Strong Retirement Act of 2022 (SSRA). The bill would expand employer-sponsored retirement plan coverage, make it easier for employers to sponsor plans, and help Americans generate more savings and retirement income.
Mercer believes this legislation represents a great opportunity for Congress to improve retirement security for millions of Americans, and we recognize and applaud the Senate’s current efforts to advance similar reforms.
