Crypto in defined contribution: A cautionary tale?
The idea of adding cryptocurrency to defined contribution (DC) plans may be too good to be true. Even while seeking gains, the volatility of crypto and crypto-related assets present a significant challenge in 401k plans. We point out what we believe to be a few of areas of concern for adding these assets as a standalone investment option in the core menu of a DC plan.
