A new chapter begins

Driving the people agenda of the future

In 2024, Mercer conducted a research study on HR Progression in Singapore, commissioned by the Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP) with support from the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).

This study enabled the identification of four key drivers to enhance human capital practices, ultimately leading to improved workforce performance and organisational success.

The four key drivers to enhance capital practices are:

  • Strengthening leaders’ accountability for the people agenda
  • Enabling HR’s shift beyond ‘Perform’ to ‘Transform’
  • Levelling up for the next bound of HR

Embedding the employee experience as a key design criterion would unlock the potential of employees creating a culture of continuous improvement and innovation both at a team and individual practitioner level.
