Mercer announced today that Michael Murphy has joined Mercer as National Sales and Marketing Leader, US Benefits Administration. In this role he will have leadership responsibility for all benefits administration-related marketing and sales efforts as well as ensuring close coordination with Mercer’s Retirement and Health & Benefits consulting lines of business. Mr. Murphy is based in Dallas, Texas and reports to Ken Haderer, Mercer’s President of US Benefits Administration.

Mr. Murphy has 30 years of marketing and sales leadership experience. Prior to joining Mercer he served as Managing Director and Chief Business Development Officer for DailyAccess Corporation. Before joining DailyAccess he held numerous leadership positions with Xerox HR Services/ExcellerateHRO including Vice President - Sales Leader, Vice President – Enterprise Accounts, Global Sales & Marketing Leader and Vice President – Strategy & Growth. Mr. Murphy also served in roles of increasing responsibility at Hewitt Associates (now Aon Hewitt), Moore Corporation and Baxter Healthcare Corporation.
Mr. Murphy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Arizona State University and holds a Certificate in Management from the Cox School of Business Executive Education Program at Southern Methodist University.
