Mercer Adds Seasoned Talent Leaders to Drive Client Impact

Mercer has added three Talent executives to its business leadership team, underscoring the firm’s commitment to delivering winning solutions for its clients. Mercer has an outstanding reputation in talent consulting dedicated to helping organizations effectively develop their greatest asset – their people – to deliver competitive advantage.

Patrick Tomlinson has joined the firm as North America Talent Region Business Leader, responsible for leading the US and Canada markets at a time when clients most need Mercer’s leading expertise in consulting, information solutions and technology. He will report to Pat Milligan, President of Mercer’s North America Region. Mr. Tomlinson previously served in Aon Hewitt’s US Talent Practice where he led the Assessment Service Line and Business Operations. Prior to this role, he held other leadership positions at Aon Hewitt, including Solutions and Capabilities Leader for the Talent Acquisition Solutions business and National Practice Leader for the Recruitment Process Outsourcing business.

William Manuel joined Mercer in the newly-created role of North America Talent Growth Leader, responsible for deepening existing client relationships. He will also report to Ms. Milligan. A proven growth leader, Mr. Manuel previously was the North America Sales Leader at NGA Human Resources before being appointed Vice President, Workday Practice Leader. During his career, he also led cross-selling and sales strategies at Ceridian Corporation.

In addition to Patrick and William who will focus on driving growth across the NA talent business, Gerald Purgay recently joined Mercer as Global Talent Marketing Leader, reporting to Michelle Bottomley, Mercer’s Chief Marketing & Sales Officer. In this role, Mr. Purgay will focus on building the Talent brand profile and engagement with new and existing clients around the world. Most recently, he was the Senior Vice President of Global Marketing for Right Management and Vice President ManpowerGroup as their lead B2B marketer. He has held executive and marketing leadership positions with Behavioral Science Technology, Drake Beam Morin (Thomson Corporation) and Learning International (AchieveGlobal).
