Mercer is pleased to present the results of our 20th edition of the Fearless Forecast. These results represent the view of 56 Canadian and global investment managers on the economy and capital markets. 2010 Canadian Asset Allocation and Governance Survey
Mercer’s Canadian Asset Allocation Survey compares asset allocations to traditional asset classes and alternative investments for more than 190 Canadian DB plans.
It also identifies links between asset allocation strategies, plan size and the state of the plans’ liabilities, and reviews a variety of governance issues facing plans. Highlights of the 2010 Survey include evidence that many institutional investors, particularly small and more mature plans, are moving away from the typical 60/40 equity/bond asset mix towards lower allocations to equities. They have also shown an increased interest in alternative investments, as well as in plan sponsor scrutiny of governance and operational risks.

Mercer a le plaisir de vour présenter la version 2010 de son enquêter sur la répartition de l'actif des régimes à prestations déterminées canadiens. Cette enquête porte sure 190 régimes à prestations déterminées canadiens dont l'actif sous gestion varie de 100 000 $ à plus de 10 G$. De ces régimes, les deux tiers sont ouverts et l'autre tiers est fermé. Quatre cinquiémes des régimes fermés permettent l'accumulation future. Les réponses à l'enquête ont été recueilles au cours du premier semestre de 2010.
Investment Performance Survey of Canadian Institutional Pooled Funds
The survey, which is available by subscription, is intended to provide a broad quantitative perspective on the institutional funds marketplace as well as detailed performance information on specific fund managers. We encourage all eligible investment managers to participate in our databases and do not charge a fee to enter our databases or published surveys.
This is available in both of Canada's official languages: English and French.
