PBGC Now Offers 4010 Prefiling Help 

PBGC now provides prefiling assistance to representatives of underfunded pension plans that must file controlled-group financial and plan actuarial information under ERISA Section 4010, the agency announced last week. PBGC staff will help filers understand the 4010 filing process and offer helpful tips on how to use the e-filing software and avoid common errors. Filers can request prefiling consultations by sending an email to ERISA.4010@pbgc.gov or calling +202 326 4000, ext. 3075.
