Marsh appoints Peta Latimer as President of Workforce and Rewards and Ilya Bonic as Chief AI Officer for People and Investments

NEW YORK, 5 November 2026 ─ Marsh (NYSE: MRSH), the leading professional services firm in risk, strategy, people, and investments, today announced the appointment of Peta Latimer as President of Workforce and Rewards, effective immediately. In this role, Ms Latimer will lead Marsh’s Workforce and Rewards Practice and report to Pat Tomlinson, President and CEO of Marsh People and Investments.

Ms Latimer will build on the strong foundation established by her predecessor Ilya Bonic, who has been appointed Chief AI Officer for People and Investments, effective immediately. In this new role, Mr Bonic will report to Mr Tomlinson and Paul Beswick, Marsh Chief Information and Operations Officer. He will lead the AI portfolio across People and Investments, working closely with business leaders, clients, and colleagues across the company.

Commenting on the appointments, Mr Tomlinson said: “Peta is an exceptional leader whose experience, sound judgment, and passion for the future of work make her well-suited to lead Workforce and Rewards globally. She is ideally positioned to build on the practice’s momentum and help our clients and colleagues navigate a rapidly evolving world of work, shaped by AI.”

He continued: “Ilya’s leadership of Workforce and Rewards has positioned the practice at the forefront of developing AI-enabled offerings for clients and colleagues, providing a strong foundation for his new role. His deep strategic capabilities and record of innovation make him well suited to lead our business’ AI priorities and accelerate growth and colleague performance.”

Ms Latimer brings extensive leadership experience and a proven ability to drive performance and execute strategic priorities across the firm’s practices and markets. Most recently, she served as Asia Regional President for People and Investments, leading the business across eleven markets. Prior to Marsh, she was a Partner in KPMG’s People and Change Practice in Asia Pacific and led IBM Kenexa’s Smarter Workforce business in Asia and the UK. She will be based in New York after a transition period.

Ms Latimer said, “I am honoured to lead Workforce and Rewards at such a pivotal time for our clients. As AI reshapes how work gets done, I look forward to working with our talented teams around the world to build on our strong foundation and help organisations redesign work, build future-fit skills and deliver rewards that help employers and their people thrive.”

As Chief AI Officer for People and Investments, Mr Bonic will focus on developing solutions that help clients make better people and investment decisions. He will also accelerate automation and process engineering and increase AI adoption and fluency across the business. He will continue to be based in New York.

“AI is already changing how we operate, serve clients and support their people. Our opportunity is to continue to apply it where it can make the greatest difference: building AI-enabled solutions, turning our proprietary data into actionable insights, helping clients navigate transformation and enabling our colleagues to work with greater speed, productivity and impact,” said Mr Bonic.
