The monthly minimum wage in Greece will increase on 1 Feb 2019 to €650, up from €586.08, under a ministerial decision signed on 29 Jan 2019. The increase is the first since 2012. The decision also prohibits employers from paying employees under age 25 a lower minimum wage. The changes were announced as policy priorities by the prime minister in a speech on 28 Jan 2019.
