French government’s healthcare reforms progress

Connecticut Enacts Paid Family and Medical Leave

The next phase of the French government’s “100% healthcare reform” initiative took effect (French) on 1 Jan 2020, providing full reimbursement for the provision of reading glasses and specified dental treatments, and a reduced copayment for hearing aid supplies. Reimbursements paid by supplementary insurance plans are capped to encourage health professionals to limit applicable costs.

Healthcare plans should be adjusted to comply with the reform in order to continue as “responsible contracts.” From 2021, the costs for certain treatments for optical, dental and hearing aids will be fully reimbursed.
