Colombian Supreme Court: Separated Spouse Entitled to Survivor’s Pension

A separated spouse is still entitled to receive a survivor’s pension after the other spouse dies, even if cohabiting with someone else at the time, the Colombian Supreme Court has ruled (Spanish). The court said that eligibility for a survivor’s pension requires that the marriage lasted at least five years, with the couple living together for that period.
