Brazil Hikes Minimum Wage

Brazil raised its national monthly minimum wage (Portuguese) on 1 Jan 2019 to BRL 998, up from BRL 943, payable 13 times a year. The daily and hourly minimum wages in 2019 are BRL 33.27 and BRL 4.54, respectively. Five Brazilian states have set their own industry-specific minimum wage rates higher than the national minimum wage.
