The Foundation of Westchester Clubmen is honoring Orlando Ashford, President of the Talent business at Mercer, a global consulting leader in talent, health, retirement and investments, with the Corporate Award. Mr. Ashford is being recognized for his outstanding leadership and dedication to community service.

“Mercer is pleased that Orlando has been selected for this honor,” said Julio A. Portalatin, President and Chief Executive Office of Mercer. “This recognition is a testament to his accomplishments as a thought leader as well as contributions to the business and cultural communities.”

“I personally nominated Orlando for consideration this year because he is an individual whose ideas, vision and leadership has helped elevate and transform our community,” said Nelson Boyce, President of Westchester Clubmen. “He is an inspiration to Black and Latino boys, and thus deserving of the Corporate Award.”

Mr. Ashford is President of Mercer’s Talent business, which integrates consulting, information and technology to help organizations achieve lasting impact and deliver measureable results. He serves on the Board of Directors for ITT Corporation, Executive Leadership Council (ELC) and StreetWise Partners. He also serves on the Boards of Trustees for ROADS Charter High School and Prep for Prep, in addition to serving on advisory boards for Purdue University School of Technology and the NFL Players Association.

Mr. Ashford is among the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) "2013 Directorship 100", a list of the most influential leaders in the boardroom and corporate governance community. He also has been named repeatedly among the "Top 100 Executive in Corporate America" by Uptown Professional Magazine and "100 Top Influential Blacks in Corporate America" by Savoy Magazine. He is the recipient of the 2014 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Excellence in Leadership Honor for Workforce Diversity and Unity from the Illinois Commission on Diversity and Human Relations (ICDHR).

The Foundation of Westchester Clubmen will honor Mr. Ashford at its 55th Anniversary Founders’ Tribute Gala awards dinner at the Beckwith Pointe Country Club in New York on May 29.
