The Real Value of Voluntary Employee Benefits in Hong Kong

Recorded: 27 June 2013

  • Overview
    • Have you ever wondered how you can provide increased or additional benefits that are valued by employees, but without having to increase your organization's benefits spend?

First, you need to know which benefits employees in Hong Kong value most. Through our Making Smart Benefit Choices Survey in late 2012, Mercer put this question to more than 10,000 workers in 10 markets around the world, including 1,000 employees in Hong Kong. We asked which of the commonly offered benefits in their country they value most and whether they’d be willing to pay extra for certain voluntary benefits. We learned about benefits preferences and the trade-offs different employee groups would make, given the opportunity.

As an employer in Hong Kong, do you know:

      • What benefits employees in Hong Kong value most?
      • Which voluntary benefits they would be willing to pay extra for and what trade-offs they would be willing to make?
      • What the market drivers are for introducing a voluntary benefits program in Hong Kong?
      • What the benefits of such a program are to your organization and your employees?
