Congress will spend the final months of 2019 trying to strike deals on an array of bipartisan healthcare and retirement reforms. Proposals in play include the biggest retirement bill in 15 years (the SECURE Act) and numerous healthcare reforms intended to end surprise medical bills, lower drug prices, improve the transparency of healthcare cost and quality information, enhance and modernize HSAs, and repeal the Affordable Care Act’s “Cadillac” tax. Meanwhile, President Trump and federal agencies are pressing forward with numerous policy changes for health, retirement and executive reward programs, but current action in the courts could reshape these programs. On the campaign trail, Democratic presidential candidates continue to jockey over healthcare reforms —  ranging from Medicare for All to Affordable Care Act changes — that have big implications for employer plans. Finally, companies need to keep up with a number of recent developments in executive and director compensation and governance.

Experts from Mercer’s Law & Policy Group and Executive Law & Regulatory Group will discuss these and other issues during this live web briefing on Dec. 12, 1–2 PM EST.
