Mark Elliott
I am the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Mercer and a member of Marsh McLennan’s Finance Leadership Team, where I co-sponsor the Women in Finance initiative and the LEAD (Leadership Exploration and Development) Financial Planning & Analysis Program.
Since 2009, I’ve worked across the Marsh McLennan Finance organization, currently as CFO for Mercer and previously as CFO of Guy Carpenter and CFO of Marsh’s US and Canada Division.
I am responsible for Mercer’s Finance team, partnering across the organization to ensure we are delivering for our clients efficiently. We are focused on helping Mercer and Marsh McLennan achieve its goal of sustaining consistent growth and superior shareholder returns. We provide input and insight into strategic decisions across our businesses and are responsible for effective capital management.
I operate at the intersection of internal stakeholders and external shareholders and partner with leaders across the organization to ensure we are delivering the level of service our clients expect, with efficiency, while holding true to Mercer’s strategic goals.
We need to invest in the right areas — be it people, tools or technology — to continue to grow and leverage our scale to provide the best solutions to our clients. To do this, we need to measure and understand trends and changes across our varied and diverse portfolio and geographies, and that responsibility sits with the Finance function.
