Alison Omens is Director of Corporate Engagement at JUST Capital. She is responsible for developing and leading JUST Capital’s corporate engagement strategy, including around its annual company ranking and on the original research and analysis being done on market and company behavior and impact. JUST Capital is a nonprofit that provides information and rankings on how the largest publicly traded corporations in America perform on issues that matter most to the public.
Alison was most recently Advisor to U.S. Secretary of Labor Tom Perez for private sector engagement, where she managed the inclusive capitalism strategy for the Secretary and the Obama Administration. She was also responsible for engagement on the Department’s future of work efforts and its ESG investing guidance. Previously, she was a Senior Advisor and Vice President at Outreach Strategies, a mission-driven energy and environmental strategic communications firm, where she worked with the Environmental Defense Fund on their methane reduction campaign and city-level climate adaptation efforts. She was also the Director of Media Outreach and Deputy Director of Public Affairs for the AFL-CIO.
Alison received a master of public administration degree from the Harvard Kennedy School and a B.A. from Scripps College. She is originally from San Diego, California.
