Investor provider advice
Mercer’s consulting expertise is far-reaching. We even advise the providers of investment management services on the selection of third-party investment products. These clients (collectively known as Third Party Providers or TPPs) include fund managers, private banks, funds-of-funds, managers-of-managers, independent advisers, financial planners, and fund supermarkets, whose strategy is to outsource all or part of the investment management function. We advise on both separate account and pooled fund products. Ultimately, the beneficiaries of this advice will be the end users--typically retail customers and defined contribution plan members.
We vary our services to suit the diverse needs of our Third Party Provider clients and the regulatory environments in which they operate. We assist our clients with the structuring and monitoring of multi-product offerings, using our performance and style-based analytics to identify the mix of managers and products best suited to the provider's strategy.
