Ben Gunnee
Ben is a principal and senior consultant within the Mercer Sentinel® Group in Mercer's investment consulting business. Ben leads the European team and his specialist area within the group is transitions. He is based in the London office.
Prior to joining Mercer’s investment consulting business in 2002 Ben worked on the pension review for the Financial Services Authority and a major Life Assurance Company. Overall, he has over 9 years experience in the pensions market.
Ben holds a Masters Degree in Accounting and Finance from De Montfort University, a First Class (honours) degree in Accounting and Financial Management and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.
Helen BaldockHelen is an associate within the Mercer Sentinel® Group in Mercer's investment consulting business. She specialises in the planning and co-ordination of asset transitions for institutional investors. Helen is based in the Leeds office.
Andrew BlundellAndrew is an analyst within the Mercer Sentinel® Group in Mercer’s investment consulting business. He specializes in the planning and co-ordination of asset transitions for institutional investors. He is based in the Leeds office.
Andrew joined Mercer in November 2008, with over seven years experience within the pensions consultancy industry.
Andrew graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BSc in Physics with Astrophysics.

Jeff Crispin
Jeff is a principal and head of business development for Europe within the Mercer Sentinel® Group in Mercer’s investment consulting business. Jeff helps institutional investors improve awareness of non-market risks and costs, and helps develop bespoke strategies to evaluate and manage these. He is based in the London office.
Prior to joining Mercer Sentinel in March 2009, Jeff was the Director of Institutional Business Development at Thomas Murray as well as Local Authorities Consultant for CCLA Investment Management. Jeff also has ten years client management experience within the global custody divisions of JPMorgan and the Bank of New York. He also worked for a major UK pension fund for over ten years having previously held various accounting and internal audit positions within finance departments of large organisations.
In total, Jeff has more than 30 year experience within the financial services sector including over 25 years working within the pension and investment arenas. The combination of experience on both the buy and sell sides of the pensions industry has given Jeff unique insights to help tailor solutions for prospective clients of Mercer Sentinel.

Thomas Erichsen
Thomas Erichsen is an associate within the Mercer Sentinel® Group in Mercer’s investment consulting business. Thomas consults to clients on custody, transitions and the administration of investment portfolios. He is based in the London office.
Thomas joined Mercer in 2008 with immediate prior experience in providing leverage for mergers and acquisitions deals, private equity transactions, and leveraged buyout situations. Prior to that he managed a team providing Treasury and Security Services to institutional investors.
Thomas speaks three languages (English, Japanese and Norwegian) and holds an MBA in finance from Thunderbird, School of Global Management and a BBA in marketing from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

Mark Fereday
Mark is an associate within the Mercer Sentinel® Group in Mercer’s investment consulting business. He specializes in the planning and co-ordination of asset transitions for institutional investors. He is based in the London office.
Mark has over 10 years of experience within the pensions and investment industry. Mark started his career with Sedgwick Noble Lowndes in 1996 and joined Mercer in 1999 following the merger of both businesses. Prior to joining the Mercer Sentinel Group in 2006, Mark was a consultant with Mercer’s investment consulting business.
Mark graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a BSc in Mathematics for Finance and Management. Mark’s also holds the Investment Management Certificate.
Deljinder Mander
Del is a senior analyst within the Mercer Sentinel® Group in Mercer’s investment consulting business. She specialises in the planning and co-ordination of asset transitions for institutional investors. Del is based in the London office.
Del joined Mercer in September 2009, having previously gained nine years experience within the investment management industry with Capital International Ltd, and prior to that, 10 years experience in the investment fund and unit trust industry.

Julian Mant
Julian is a principal and senior consultant within the Mercer Sentinel® Group in Mercer's investment consulting business. He is responsible for building and developing investment manager operations and implementation assessments, and expanding the global business outside Australia. He is based in the London office.
Julian joined Mercer in February 2008 from MKM Longboat Capital Advisors, where he was CFO. Julian has over 30 years of Finance and Operations experience on the sell and buy sides, including 15 years at BNP Paribas.
Julian Mant holds an honours degree in chemistry from Imperial College and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Anne-Laure Martinez
Anne-Laure Martinez is an analyst within the Mercer Sentinel® Group in Mercer's investment consulting business. Anne-Laure works on Custody, Transition Management and Investment Manager Operations reviews. She is based in the London office.
Anne-Laure joined Mercer in January 2008 after spending two years in the San Francisco Bay Area working to help launch and then develop start-up companies.
Anne-Laure graduated from HEC Paris, holding an MSc degree in Management. Specializing in finance she studied in the US through the PIM (Partnership in International Management) programme at Babson College, Massachusetts. She is a holder of the Investment Management Certificate.

She joined Mercer in January 2007, with over nine years experience within the investment consultancy industry.
Helen holds an honours degree in Physics from Bath University, and is a holder of the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).

Sang Park

Prior to joining Mercer's investment consulting business in September 2003, he helped launch an internet start-up and worked at American International Group.
Sang holds a degree in Economics from University College London. Sang is studying for his CFA qualification.

David Pellow

David joined Mercer's investment consulting business as a graduate in February 2006 having previously worked as a chemical engineer with project management responsibilities for 2 years.
David holds an honours degree in Chemical Engineering from UMIST, and is currently studying for the Securities Institute Diploma in Securities Operations.

Steve Robinson
Steve is an associate within the Mercer Sentinel® Group in Mercer’s investment consulting business. Steve's specialist areas are transition manager research and investment manager operational risk assessments. He is based in London office.
Steve joined Mercer in May 2005, having previously gained over ten years experience within the investment management industry with Barclays Global Investors Ltd and Deutsche Asset Management Ltd.
Steve is a holder of the Investment Management Certificate and the Securities and Investment Institute Investment Administration Qualification.
Ed Shepherd
Ed is an analyst within the Mercer Sentinel® Group in Mercer's investment consulting business. Ed works on custody and transition management consultancy projects as well as investment manager operations risk reviews. He is based in London.
Ed joined Mercer as a graduate in 2009 following an internship with the group in 2008.
Ed has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, Government and International Affairs from Durham University. He is currently studying towards the CFA qualification.

Martin Shimell

Martin joined Mercer in September 2008 as a graduate and following an internship with the group in 2007.
Martin graduated with an MSci degree in Physics from the University of Nottingham. Martin's previous work experience includes 18 months as an engineer in the Defence Industry. He is a holder of the Investment Management Certificate.

Chris is an analyst within the Mercer Sentinel® Group in Mercer's investment consulting business. He specialises in the planning and co-ordination of asset transitions for institutional investors. Chris is based in the London office.
Chris joined Mercer in October 2008, and has previously interned within Equity Research and has worked with corporate debt instruments at global investment banks.
Chris graduated from the University of Warwick, and holds a BSc in Mathematics and Business. Chris is a holder of the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and is currently studying towards becoming a CFA charter holder.

Sonja Spinner
Sonja is a senior associate within the Mercer Sentinel® Group in Mercer's investment consulting business. Sonja assists clients aiming to increase the efficiency of their operations and reduce the risks to which their funds are exposed. This is achieved by undertaking risk assessments and economic reviews of custody relationships, securities lending programmes and administration/operations structures. Sonja also produces custodian monitoring reports which enable clients to ensure that they are receiving best value custodian services. She is based in the London office.
Sonja joined Mercer in 2008 with 9 years experience in Financial Services. After qualifying as an Accountant with a big four firm, Sonja spent 3 years working as a Senior Internal Auditor for a major UK Life Assurance Company. This was followed by 4 years reporting to the Executive as a European Investments Manager facilitating the creation of a single European investments support group, undertaking a European custodian review and working on other post trade investment operations projects.
Sonja has a B.Sc. from Bristol University and a Ph.D. from Imperial College. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and also holds a Securities and Investment Institute Diploma.

Andrew Williams (Ireland & Nordic Region)
Andrew Williams is a principal and senior consultant within the Mercer Sentinel® Group in Mercer's investment consulting business. Andrew specializes in transition manager research. He is based in the London office.
Andrew has over 10 years of experience within the pensions and investment industry, starting his career with Mercer in 1996. Prior to joining the Mercer Sentinel in 2006 Andrew was a senior consultant with Mercer’s investment consulting business in the London office, advising institutional clients on the full range of investment issues as well as having specific investment manager research responsibilities.
Andrew holds a degree in Economics from Bristol University, and is a member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals.
