Mercer has launched a new web-based tool, Holidayconnect, to help employers allocate and manage employees’ holiday entitlements.
The online module streamlines the holiday booking
process for the employee, manager and company. It can be used for all types of
holiday entitlements including annual leave, flexible holiday purchases and
discretionary leave.
Mindy Daeschner, principal at Mercer, commented:
“Holidayconnect was the result of client demand for an online holiday management
service. By creating an up-to-date transparent process, it reduces
discrepancies, and managers save valuable time in managing their team’s holidays
and processing leavers’ entitlements.
“The new module is an extension of our absence
management solution, Healthconnect, which, since its launch in 2004, has helped
significantly reduce absence and improve overall processes for managers and HR
consultants.”
The system allows employees and managers to easily
book and approve holidays, access a statement page - which shows an employee’s
up-to-date holiday balance - and view team calendars.
Ms Daeschner added: “Holidayconnect has great
administrative value. It’s designed to calculate entitlement in hours and days
and is a useful tool for reporting on entitlement, holiday trends and absence.”
