As controversy swirls on health care reform anniversary, employers continue plans for compliance

On the first anniversary of its enactment, the health care reform law continues to generate vigorous debate in Congress, the courts, and around the country. Nonetheless, Mercer's 2010 National Survey of Employer-Sponsored Health Plans found most employers intend to continue offering health benefits.
Mercer's Amy Bergner explains that while the anniversary will give rise to numerous events and sound-bytes, the reform law is fundamentally unchanged since its enactment March 23, 2010, and now is the time for employers to turn their attention to planning longer-term compliance strategies.
