The UK Oilfield Engineering and Contracting survey provides comparative information on pay for full time and contract staff amongst the major engineering companies in the UK oil industry. It covers all engineering disciplines, project management, production operations, offshore operations and business services roles from CEO to junior staff.

Overview

As a participant, you will receive two reports:

  1. Survey report showing information on the current range of pay, bonus and benefits. The elements of pay analysed include salary, allowances, overtime, bonus, cash and non-cash benefits. Participants receive peer group tables with statistics on pay and benefits at every coordinate of role level and function; each peer group report also shows the average salary increases over a six month period and a twelve month period.


  2. You receive a ‘Company Analysis’ which compares the pay of each of your employees with their peers in other companies. You can also customise your peer group.

Other data

The report also includes sections on benefits and bonus practices as well as a regional comparison and trend analysis. The survey is conducted twice a year.

Data submission made easy

To subscribe to the UK Oilfield Engineering & Contracting survey, your organisation must contribute specified data. Mercer provides a questionnaire in a pre-formatted spreadsheet that simplifies data submission for you. All raw data submitted remains confidential. When you participate again, relevant parts of the questionnaire will be pre-completed for you, to minimise the input of your time and resources.

Cost


Annual participant subscription to the UK Oilfield Engineering and Contracting survey is tiered at £3,500 plus VAT for companies with 250 or more employees, £2,900 plus VAT for 50 to 249 employees, and £2,650 plus VAT for companies with up to 49 employees. In the first year of participation there is an additional set up charge of £250 plus VAT.
